It’s Summer

Dear Reader,

It’s summer. It’s time to take advantage of our greater availability and get things done, right?

Even though things have been a bit crazy throughout the world, let’s keep going.

So my name is Heather and it’s nice to meet you! Fair warning: there’s no specific purpose of this blog other than to offer some perspective from a young woman who aspires to grow, obtain greater freedom, and to always be learning, it will be personal and professional. So if you’d like, maybe keep reading and enjoy being a part of this journey.

As a soon to be business graduate student there’s a lot going on but then again it always feels like that.. don’t read the tone wrong though! I enjoy being involved in and learning about a lot of things, certainly wouldn’t be complaining.

It’s kind of funny sitting here and typing this because I’m not sure of what to say, maybe it’d be best to share a little more so here you go: first let’s get this out of the way: I’m… shy? That seems accurate, sure! Yes, I’m a shy (and often determined) businesswoman. Which I think is kinda funny. If we can talk more about that later it’d be great. I’m proud to be shy, or more on the quiet side, (however you’d like to describe it) and I’m a big advocate of helping the world change it’s negative view on shy or otherwise more ‘quiet‘ people. It’s been sorta difficult throughout life always being barked at and shamed for being too quiet or too shy, etc… yes of course it’s not been easy at all! In any case, whether you’re shy, outgoing, quiet, loud, this, or that here’s some advice to consider from a brilliant professor: ‘Never let your sensitivities keep you from doing what you want to do’. Really think about that, that’s brilliant.

Anyway, I’m also quite interested in real estate. That’s why this is the beginning of a journey, we’re still learning a lot but in the years ahead we’ll see if things get more interesting as I aspire to become a real estate investor. It’ll be fun to write about this as someone that is starting from nothing, who is maybe just like a lot of graduate students out there, and as someone that you might doubt at first. That’s fine, it’s best to believe in ourselves and keep moving forward, so let’s go!
